Thursday, April 28, 2011: Royal Wedding Guest Day

Alexandra dressed for the wedding

The Groom

It was NON-UNIFORM day at school.  So Alexandra got to wear her green dress to school. The entire school is encouraged to dress as guests to the Royal Wedding. They even had a bride, a groom and wedding cake. Alexandra reported back that "it was great!"

Then Brian and I went to Bizzy Bees and he made a crown as well. Can you guess that there is a Royal Wedding approaching?!?!

Sunday, April 24th, 2011: Brian's offically 2 & Easter

BRIAN IS OFFICALLY 2 and its Easter. What a busy day. We started with an Easter Egg Hunt around 9:30 am, then put lunch in: Leg of Lamb. Then chatted and had lunch. Said goodbye to Marios, Aysu and Angelica.

As we were saying good bye, a little girl pulled up across the street. I sent Alexandra over to ask her to play. She and her dad were going to ride her bike down to feed the ducks. So we got on our bikes and grabbed some bread and went along too.  Some where during this adventure, Brian found a mud puddle and proceeded to fall into it. Fortunately, the girls taught Brian how to roll down the hill to get rid of the mud.

Then our neighbors (other side) Karen and Hannah brought over food. YUM!!! While they were over, Brian and Hannah were playing. Brian was having difficulty sharing and was a little rough so Adam put him in the naughty chair. After a minute or so, Brian turns to us and says: “Sorry…. Sorry People.” We all started laughing. It was too funny.

Friday, April 22, 2011: Natural History & Science Museum & Buckingham Palace

After the Natural History museum, we went to the Science Museum and had another great time. We couldn’t see everything in either museum but saw enough to enjoy each. The Science Museum had a “Garden” room for the 2 to 6 year olds. We spent about 45 minutes there just letting the kids play.

After the museums we ran over to see the front of Buckingham Palace. We were there for about 20 minutes having missed the changing of the guard parade. We will do that when the kids are older. Then we took the 6 pm train back to Stoke on Trent.

Thursday, April 21, 2011: Bus and Boat Tour of London

While Adam gave his presentation today, the kids and I took the City bus tour.  It was suppose to be 2 hours but it was 4 due to traffic. After the tour we met up with Adam and took the boat to Greenwich. It was a great tour.

Unfortunately, we ran up to the Royal Observatory just to have it close upon our arrival. But we did see the dividing line and get our pictures taken while in 2 time zones/hemi-spheres. Then dinner at Pizza Express and home to bed.
