I have realized that I have not described our house yet. The house is a lovely 3 bedroom (will have to post pictures) Its about a little more than a 1/3 of our Boone home. On the bottom floor, its got a small galley kitchen, and dining room and living room (has a futon couch and a love seat - plenty of space for visitors) along with a small toilet (think about the closet the we turned into a sink/make-up area at Ellen’s first house now add 8 inches and a toilet J ). Then on the ‘first floor” (2nd for us yanks) are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Alexandra’s room is quite large. It holds a twin bed, 2 nightstands and 2 dresser drawers. Adam’s and my room is also quite large. It holds a Queen size bed 2 nightstands and 2 3 drawer dressers along with a hanging rack quite easily. It also has a small on-suite shower/bathroom. The kid’s bathroom has a huge tub and lots of space. I left Brian’s bedroom for last because its humorous that they call it a bedroom. Its only 7 by 7 feet (so they say but I don’t believe its that big.) It holds a desk (we use as a changing table) and a mattress. There was a bed frame for him. Good thing that we don’t want him to use it since he’s just transitioned to a big boy bed. The reason is because when the built the house Brian’s room is above the entrance hall, downstairs loo, and stairway. Because of the stairway, they took the corner or his room and slanted the wall up. This means that no bed frame would fit because of the slant. It makes a built in raised pillow for Brian’s bed. THRE IS NOT A SINGLE CLOSET IN THE HOUSE (other than the small one under the stair case).
The rest of Sunday was spent going on a walk around the lakes up here at Keele. It was a nice walk. We came home and Skyped Eric and Leslie. I tried to Skype my parents but they weren’t online so I ended up calling them. It was so great to hear their voices.
