Friday, April 8th, 2011: Holyrood Palace

Holyrood Palace- Alexandra’s favorite of the day. There we saw a video of the current Queen receiving the key to the city and learned she hosts a garden party for 8,000 people every summer.

We learned more about Mary Queen of Scots- including where hubby 2 murdered her secretary/lover Rizzo. There was a lot more information but for the brevity of the blog, I won't include it. :-)

Next, we visited the Holyrood Abbey Ruins. The are beautiful! And saw the gardens.

Then we had dinner at a Whiskey Bar. Finally bed by 9 pm.
