Sunday, April 10th, 2011: Inverness

Culloden Battlefield
We started the morning at Culloden Battlefield where the English defeated the Scottish. Then to Fort George. Currently the Black Watch division of the military trains there; the Highlanders Division just left for Afghanistan. The fort was built by the English to keep the Scotts from attacking by land, later changed to protect from the French invading by sea.

Then to drive along Loch Ness and look for Nesse. As we drove toward Glen Coe, we saw Intergary Castle ruins (can’t even visit because its in such a horrible state).
